Vacuum Tension Load Cell Application

CMC announces the launch of its new ULTRA Line Vacuum Duty UPB Tension Tension Load Cell for use in Vacuum environments. The new UPB features a 40:1 tension range and noise immunity for precise tension measurement on web processes. Vacuum designs are available for all styles of CMC Ultra transducers : Cartridge, Slim Cell, UPB, and CLT.

This under-pillow-block style tension load cell offers an ideal solution for demanding vacuum environments, such as in the production of solar cells, metallized films and foils, and vacuum deposition of thin films or coatings on substrate.

The ULTRA Line UPB Vacuum Duty Tension Tension Load Cell is designed for use with pillow block bearings and rotating shaft installations. It has a compact low-profile block design that can be mounted at any angle and used for retrofit or for new machinery.
